Punta de la Mona
Marina Bay offers a number of top dive sites, one the best amongst them being Punta de la Mona. This is a dive site for the more experience diver, ranging from depths between 15m and 45m. This area can be reached from the shore, but it is much easier and more convenient to access it by boat. It consists of a rock spine extending out from the Punta.
This region is the home of a variety of sea life, always housing large shoals of sardines and anchovies. This often attracts tuna and other large predatory fish and thus provides and interesting vantage point at which too observe the natural habits of these species.
This visibility is good, but there is a strong current, also adding to the site’s reputation for being one for advanced divers only.
This is a challenging and mesmerising dive that provides a great opportunity to observe marine life in an interesting and often beautiful environment.
